Five movies that remind me of Wonder Woman

Here is a fun fact about me! My favorite superhero is Wonder Woman. My favorite anti-hero is Harley Quinn, but that is a topic for another day. Here is another fact. Like any normal human being, I have been binge-watching during the holidays. I wanted to make a list of some movies I watched that remind me of Wonder Woman. You might like some films on this list. I have never done a top-five list before, but I thought it would be fun. To be specific, these are the movies that remind me of Wonder Woman’s overall character and story. Here they are:

5. Kill Bill

Kill Bill is about an assassin. After awakening from a four-year coma, a former assassin wreaks vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her. This is a stylish and visually striking movie.

Yes, many people will not immediately think of the princess of Themyscira when seeing Kill Bill. However, there is some similarity. Like with the Wonder Woman series, Kill Bill has impressive fighting scenes. I have always known wonder Woman for inspiring people. The Bride is an inspiring character. She would do anything and overcome any obstacle to reach her goals. Both Wonder Woman and Bride are fun to watch. It is a great movie if you just want some good action.

4. Wolfwalkers

Wolfwalkers is about Robin. Robin, a young apprentice hunter, and her father journey to Ireland to help wipe out the last wolf pack. But everything changes when she befriends a free-spirited girl from a mysterious tribe rumored to transform into wolves by night. This movie is a Disney-like fairytale. The animation is very creative and cute. It may have common tropes, but they are told in a fresh way a novel way. For real, my favorite character in this movie is Mebh. She is a cute little feral child.

Stories involving Wonder Woman talk about themes like love and compassion. Wolfwalkers talks about similar themes. Both properties have their fair share of intense and dark. moments

3.Hidden Figures

Hidden Figures is the story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. I like really enjoyed watching the major characters. From what I know, real-life events inspired this movie. This film got me interested in learning more about the real-life female mathematicians that struggled.

You can not say Wonder Woman does not deal with topics like sexism in her stories. This film is inspiring. I know that this is not a superhero movie and does not have any fantasy elements. However, I still think this movie is a fun time. Besides, the makers of this movie might have been at the very least inspired by Wonder Woman.

2. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is about Carol Danvers who becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. She has to deal with Earth being caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

I actually like that Captain Marvel's character differs from the other Marvel super-heroes. It allows for a new perfective on the superhero formula. Like Wonder Woman, Carol Danvers is a great strong kick-ass female protagonist. I know that this movie has many flaws. However, for me, it has more good things than bad things.

1.Vixen

Vixen is about Mari McCabe’s journey. Originally from Africa, Mari grew up an orphan after local greed, corruption and wanton violence killed her parents. Mari refuses to succumb to the terrors surrounding her. Inheriting her family’s Anansi Totem, Mari can access the powers of animals. She becomes the superhero knowns as Vixen. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from threats like those that claimed her family.

This is the movie no one is going to know about. I really like the movie that shows Vixen struggling with her heroic behavior. Her relationship with her father is sweet. These kinds of stories rarely show the heroes interacting with the parents. I am glad this movie did that.

Like Wonder Woman, Vixen is a pretty outstanding superhero. I enjoyed watching her grow as a person. Overall, this was the best movie I have watched lately.

Well, this list was pretty small. I hope you can tell me in the comments if you disagreed. Thank you for your time! I know 2020 has been hard. Hope that next year can be better for you! See you soon!
